Day 2 The second day is a 33 mile paddle with no obstacles.

Approximate paddle time 8 hours

7:00am on the water …no whining, just get up and go!

Don’t worry about the distance. Take it one stroke at a time.

Stop at noon for lunch

Stop at McIntosh Reserve mile 5_

The sun will burn you even if it isn’t shining brightly so be prepared with clothing or sunscreen. Hats and or sunglasses on safety straps are recommended.

Plan on getting wet! You’ll going to get wet, at least splashed and/or maybe go swimming, which is no big deal. If you go in the water, I’ll be there with you. If you have a spray skirt you might want to bring it. This is a great trip on the river so smile and have fun paddling…we’ll be there before you know it.

Food. Bring some snack food to carry in your cockpit and nibble along the way. Bring some Gatorade or other energy drink because water may not be sufficient to replace needed electrolytes.

Cameras and cell phones. Please be sure they are in waterproof bags/containers and/or on a leash. Both are expensive…don’t trust their safety with an inexpensive sandwich bag. I will have a secure dry bag with me if you would like to safely stow something.

Special Note: I am not a mind reader. It there is a problem or if something is wrong or you need something …please inform me. My goal is to make this an enjoyable trip for everyone so please speak up.
